No Christmas mood this year

This year I have felt more of an affinity to the Grinch than the whoos in Whooville; I have felt more like saying " Bah humbug" than " Turn on the Christmas music! Maybe the stream of commercialization has me feeling burnt out on the whole " Christmas Mood" Thing. Hobby Lobby broke out the Christmas decor after the Fourth of July and I rebel against the increasing " Holly Jolly, Santa and presents" sort of program.
I DID finally decorate for Christmas last Friday, and I did buy presents for Christmas, but I did not enjoy the crowds of people, and the hassle. I think we feel pressure to do more and more and more for Christmas this year, and we forget what it is really about. I know, I know , it sounds like a cliche, and we have all heard it before, but really!
I do not feel bad about not being in the Christmas mood. Because the Christmas mood is something that is not necessary.
I appreciate the fact that Jesus came to earth and died for our sins. I appreciate it,and I like to take time to say thankyou and think about it. I understand, however, why some people don't celebrate it, because honestly, it HAS gotten out of hand. Mainstream Christmas isn't about Jesus anymore.
I think that Apostle Paul is wise when he says that it isn't right or wrong when people celebrate the holidays, or when they don't celebrate it. He instructs that whether or not we do or do not, we are celebrating " AS UNTO THE LORD"
       That's all for now.
